In the United States, we are in the process of electing the next President. We are in the midst of a great struggle between spiritual wickedness and righteousness. We as Christian have failed in our duty to fight the good fight and the enemy has had sway over our nation to the point now where they think a full-frontal attack will succeed in taking over America and reducing it to a godless Marxist dictatorship.

The Rapture of the Church: Pre-Millennia, Mid-Millennial, Post-Millennial? Will we ever come to agreement? will we ever be of one mind? on the issue. The subject is made more complicated as it concerns the status of our salvation: is it secure, can we lose it? If the Rapture is not pre-millennial than Christians saved now by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ can lose their salvation, if only by taking the mark. If the Rapture is pre-trib then we can still argue that it is once saved always saved. If we are saved, secured, sealed with the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption, it is once saved always saved and the Rapture of the Church takes place before the Tribulation. For a more detailed study on this issue see the studies, "Methodology of Salvation and Dispensational Salvation."

The Authorized version of 1611, commonly called the King James Version, has been the standard Bible for hundreds of years. This statement in and off itself is not an argument for its perfection. Nonetheless, a standard is a standard. Everyone lauds its beauty, grace, stateliness, and power and it practically established modern English.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 13:13

Men have faith in almost everything they normally do. Without faith your a psychotic Paranoid Personality. Men have faith that they can drive head long at each other with only a four inch painted line to keep them from crashing. We could not open a door without faith that there was nothing on the other side that was going to hurt us. The Bible uses the word ‘faith’ in one sense, in reference to one thing and one thing only, “faith toward God.” Faith toward God, faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ, is its only biblical use.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

This is a well know and quoted verse within the Chistian community. I was recently reminded that the context of the verse is never mention which is so relevant today.

I am asked occasionally how to increase one's motivation to read the Bible. I council in this regard, it is necessary to think of the negative in order to achieve the positive.

First, you ought to feel guilty for not reading God’s word. The greatest indignity man can inflict upon his creator is not to listen when He speaks. The Bible is God speaking. God puts his word above his name which makes His word the most important of all things in creation. One should read it to the best of their ability. You cannot understand it unless you know what it says.

This supposed contradiction is a staple of those that want to bring us back under bondage to the law teaching works for salvation. Was Abraham justified by faith or by works?

Romans 4:2-5 For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. 3For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. 4Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

VS

James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
